General Electric Hit by Japanese Meltdown
Tuesday, March 15th, 2011General Electric Co. shares fell 9% with Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant meltdown. Here’s the problem, and how GE may be culpable. GE designed the plant’s reactors. According to Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan., there has been a “substantial” radiation leak. The Wall Street Journal stated that GE is ready to give technical assistant to the Japanese government and has has engineers on standby in a Wilmington, N.C., command center. (more…)
