As a day trader, you always want to have a good trading system that you can rely on as you trade. If you decide to trade during the day and at night, you might need a different trading system for each. But the key is to use the trading system you develop and stay with it. We all know what day trading is. According to Wikipedia, day trading is “the practice of buying and selling financial instruments within the same trading day such that all positions are usually closed before the market close for the trading day.” Well, that makes sense. If you are trading stocks on the New York Stock Exchange, the Market opens at 9:30am EST and closes at 4:00pm EST. So any positions that are both opened and closed within that time are considered a day trade. (more…)

Foreign Exchange is the international financial market where currencies from all countries are bought and sold freely. This is known as currency trading. Currency trading is a non-stop cash market where traders speculate on changes (ups and downs) in exchange rates. Trading operates through a global network of brokerages, banks, corporations and individual investors trading one currency for another. There is no central, physical exchange like financial equity markets or futures markets. Trading takes place nearly 24 hours a day. This is extremely liquid because there are always willing buyers and sellers for each currency being traded, which means you can enter and exit a position quickly. (more…)
